Social Media
I'd like to integrate separate Facebook feeds for the MOF Australia and MOF CC pages into the website in the relevant positions.
I will require admin access to do this. Please provide this info to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
Also, while the Central Coast chapter's Facebook page seems to be regularly updated , the Newcastle FB page is not. Is there someone within the organisation that is looking to do this, or is it something you'd like us to handle as well? If so please let me know.
Galleries
Existing galleries are being recreated on the new website. Please upload any new gallery photos to the appropriate folder in the BBmedia shared MOF Dropbox folder at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/17bjbq2rkicbb5c/AACKFGhmm0S4mocHwWsGpv3Ra?dl=0 (or you own Dropbox folders) and let me know.
Notes:
Thanks to those who have provided galleries. Where possible please provide (email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) a paragraph or two on the details surrounding the events so I can add an event article. Please either simply paste it into the email body or save it as a PDF (please, no Word docs).
The galleries will be displayed each on their own pages (any descriptive text will be on that page), and there will be a sidebar thumbnail layout for the latest gallery from each chapter, as well as links to other galleries below that.
I may miss the Dropbox notification so please let me know when any content has been uploaded.
Broadcast Email
Email is still the primary form of communication for building memberships, and communicating with those memberships.
I have set up a Mailchimp account for MOF. It includes free use of a a mailout account with up to 2000 email addresses, and monthly mailouts of 12000 to those emails.
Mailchimp is a premier mailout site which ensures a 99.8% delivery rate on your emailouts, includes a wide range of drag-and-drop standard mailout templates which can be easily edited without HTML knowledge.
It can greatly automate the process of managing an email list of members and sending mailouts to them. If a membership form with Mailchimp integration is added to the website it will automate the process of taking memberships, and after receiving payment confirming the user to a membership list.
It also greatly increases the professionalism of the communication output.
If you wish me to set this up for you, then I would need the existing Hunter membership list to upload it to Mailchimp.
Separate accounts can be arranged for different chapters, each with up to 2000 email addresses free, or we can set it up as one list in this account with different groups within that list.
Notes:
I have received the membership lists from CC & Hunter, and these lists along with templates, will be ready to use soon.
Membership Site
As time progresses it might be a good concept to offer a true membership site. One that provides members with the ability to register, set up a profile, and share in an online MOF member community. Members would be able to engage in community discussions, share media (images/videos) and insights.
Referrals
An important way to expand any membership base is to provide incentives for member referrals.
Initially we can add a 'Tell-a-friend' module to be prominently displayed on the site, but my recommendation is to move to a full-blown incentive driven (free t-shirt after X referrals) sooner than later.
